First National Bank of Durango raised over $31,000 for United Way. This comes from employee donations, corporate matches of employee donations, and several fundraising events the bank held for United Way. These included the annual Sip to Soup-port event, an employee auction and a bake sale.

La Plata Electric Association generated nearly $31,000 for United Way. This comes from their employees in both Archuleta and La Plata counties. LPEA's campaign coordinator, Jeannie Bennett, once again outdid herself, not only encouraging employees to donate but also by coordinating several fundraising events.

UPS also is an outstanding United Way partner. Local UPS employees pledged approximately $12,000 to United Way this year. Special thanks to Garth Hardy for his leadership at UPS.

United Way's partner agencies, who are the recipients of donations, are also contributors. Collectively, partner agencies pledged over $35,000 to United Way's goal.

Southwest Colorado Mental Health Center's employees pledged an incredible $10,313.

Southern Ute Community Action Programs' employees pledged $8,579.

In Archuleta County, a new program for individual donors has produced some amazing results. Last year, individual donors who give from home contributed just over $20,000. This year, with a month to go in the campaign, individuals have given over $31,000. The Party 'Round Pagosa fundraiser, a series of parties hosted by local families in Pagosa Springs, raised over $7,000.

In Montezuma and Dolores counties, federal employees have pledged nearly $9,000 to United Way and other charities. Megg Heath and Toni Kelley at Dolores Public Lands Center have gone above and beyond to raise more funds from federal employees.
