Join us for one of the first holiday events of the season at this fun fundraising event for United Way. Taste of the Seasons will be held at Four Seasons Greenhouse and Nursery just north of Cortez and is a wine and food tasting event. Enjoy great food from restaurants all over the area and sample wine provided by West Slope Liquors. There will also be a silent auction with nearly 100 items up for bid. The Radiothon continues to be one of the best charity auctions in the region, producing over $47,000 for United Way! We can’t do this event without the stellar support from Four Corners Broadcasting. The Brewfest was yet another great fundraiser for United Way! Nearly 30 breweries from around the nation came to Durango to show off their best brews. Nearly 1,000 people attended. The 2012 golf tournament raised over $18,000 for United Way and High Noon Rotary to share, the most since 2008! Thank you to Wells Fargo Bank for once again being our title sponsor. We also thank all our other sponsors, golfers and volunteers. People really do win at our golf tournament. This year, we had a winner of our $10,000 Putting Contest and a hole in one! This event is unique in that two local charities benefit from it. The 2011 golf tournament was another success, earning a total of $13,500 for High Noon Rotary and United Way. | The 15th year of our annual event was bittersweet. We raised more money than last year, coming in at $57,430 in winning bids and sponsorships. The bad news was this was long-time Four Corners Broadcasting DJ Tom Little’s last day on the air in Durango. Tom accepted a promotion to manage Four Corners Broadcasting’s stations in Grand Junction. Tom – you will be missed my friend! Click here for photos from the event.

2011 Taste of the Seasons was the best one ever! The event, hosted by Four Seasons Greenhouse and Nursery in Dolores, raised $18,000! Over 400 attended the annual kickoff to the holiday season, enjoyed wine and beer tastings from West Slope Liquors, and food from over 20 restaurants in the Cortez area. Next year is set for November 29, 2012. Hope to see you there!

Held the day after the Radiothon, the San Juan Brewfest continues to get bigger and better each year. Approximately 1,000 people attended this year and tasted the amazing brews from 25 breweries. Sponsored by Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort and planned by CookManFood.com, the Brewfest generated over $17,000 for United Way. Next year’s Brewfest is set for Saturday August 27, 2011!

United Way’s longest standing fundraiser, the 2010 version was a big hit! Sponsored by Wells Fargo, Chevron and many other local businesses, the golf tournament generated $18,000 for United Way and Rotary to share! Big thanks to Mike Kane, Jr., Bill Cartwright, Richard Kolb and Ted Weirather for helping plan this annual fundraiser. Next year’s tournament will be at Dalton Ranch again on July 15, 2011.
