In a series of events across the region, United Way announced it had exceeded its campaign goal for 2010. The goal for 2010 was $711,000 and the total pledged is $730,000! Tim Walsworth, President and CEO for United Way, said “We are thrilled with the community’s response to our annual appeal. Southwest Colorado is truly a generous place. United Way will invest these funds in almost 80 different programs across the region as they are received in 2011.” Click here for a list of United Way’s partners.
United Way serves Archuleta, La Plata, San Juan, Montezuma and Dolores Counties. Events were held in Pagosa Springs to announce Archuleta County’s total, in Cortez to announce Montezuma and Dolores Counties’ total, and in Durango to announce La Plata and San Juan Counties’ total.
