The 2008/2009 campaign is underway. This year’s goal is a record high $760,000 for the five-county region. United Way keeps donations in the community where they were made, so the goal is broken down by county. Campaign Update ~ last posted 12/1/08
Only 1% of donations leave the community in the form of dues to United Way of America, unless the donor designates their gift to a nonprofit in another area. For a list of the local nonprofit organizations that were pre-qualified to be recipients of donations to the 2008/2009 campaign, click on Partners and/or Programs at the top of this page. United Way raises funds in Southwest Colorado by conducting fundraising events, a direct mail appeal, and workplace fundraising.
